How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand at arm's length, palms facing forward.
  2. Keep your elbows close to your torso and your back straight.
  3. Inhale and brace your core. Exhale as you curl the dumbbells up towards your shoulders, bending only at the elbows.
  4. Keep your upper arms stationary, focusing on using your biceps to lift the weights.
  5. Squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement.
  6. Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position, controlling the movement.

Questions

Is it better to curl both dumbbells at once or alternate arms?

Alternating arms allows greater focus on each bicep and reduces torso fatigue, while curling both together keeps workout time shorter.

What should you do if you feel pain in your elbow joint?

Stop the movement immediately to avoid worsening any potential strain and consult a healthcare professional.
